ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems India Limited (CVCS) has secured a significant business nomination from a leading Indian electric commercial vehicle manufacturer to develop and calibrate a complete Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite aligned with India’s upcoming safety regulation, GSR 184e. This nomination positions ZF as one of the key technology partners driving automation and safety in the country’s rapidly expanding e-mobility segment.

The ADAS suite—fully certified by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI)—is market-ready and compliant with all requirements under GSR 184e. Developed with scalability in mind, it supports SAE Level 2 automation and provides a pathway for higher autonomy levels for global platforms, while being engineered specifically to handle the complexities of Indian road conditions.

Designed for integration across a wide range of commercial vehicle applications, the package includes advanced components suitable for coaches, heavy-duty trucks, and tractor-trailers, ensuring consistency, safety, and reliability across diverse fleets.

Mr. Akash Passey, Chairman (Non-Executive Director), ZF CVCS India, said the achievement underscores ZF Group’s commitment to supporting India’s move toward safer and more automated commercial mobility. “Our products are not only compliant with India’s regulatory framework but have also proven their performance under real-world Indian driving conditions. Mr. Paramjit Singh Chadha, Managing Director of the company added that ZF’s ADAS solutions are designed to reduce driver fatigue, enhance situational awareness, and improve decision-making on the road. “By making advanced safety systems more accessible and intuitive, we are empowering drivers and strengthening road safety. This nomination reinforces our commitment to inclusive innovation,” he said.
