Yulu Drives Into Bhopal With Franchise-Led EV Mobility Push

Yulu has expanded its footprint in Central India with the launch of its franchisee-led electric mobility service in Bhopal under the Yulu Business Partner (YBP) initiative. The service has been rolled out in partnership with Tezz Mobility, led by entrepreneurs Dharamveer Singh Bhadoriya and Siddharth Jain.

The latest rollout marks Yulu’s ninth partner-led expansion after launches in cities such as Indore, Kochi, Madurai, Vadodara and Coimbatore.

The company said the move is aimed at tapping into Bhopal’s rapidly growing quick commerce, food delivery and e-commerce ecosystem, where demand for efficient last-mile mobility solutions is increasing steadily. Despite the growth in delivery services, the city’s logistics sector continues to rely heavily on conventional petrol-powered two-wheelers, with limited access to rental EV fleets and charging infrastructure.

Yulu plans to address these gaps through its integrated EV ecosystem comprising purpose-built electric vehicles, battery-swapping infrastructure and technology-enabled fleet operations. The company currently manages nearly 50,000 vehicles across multiple Indian cities.

As part of the partnership, Yulu and Tezz Mobility have deployed a network of strategically located Yulu Zones, a central operations and service hub, and a battery-swapping network powered by Yuma Energy. The companies said the long-term objective is to support a transition towards fully electric delivery operations in the city.

In the initial phase, the service will focus on high-demand delivery areas including Shahpura, before expanding to Hoshangabad Road, New Market, TT Nagar, Kolar Road and Habibganj.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Amit Gupta said Bhopal represents a strong opportunity due to its growing gig economy and rising delivery demand. He noted that the city already has more than 45 dark stores and sufficient demand to support around 8,000 delivery riders. According to him, the partnership with Tezz Mobility will help create a scalable and sustainable logistics ecosystem in the city.

Mr. Dharamveer Singh Bhadoriya, Co-promoter of Tezz Mobility, said the company’s earlier experience working with quick commerce players helped it understand the operational challenges faced by delivery ecosystems. He added that Yulu’s platform would provide delivery riders with affordable and reliable electric mobility solutions while enabling aggregators to meet their EV adoption goals.

Mr. Siddharth Jain, Co-promoter of Tezz Mobility, said Yulu’s technology platform, established brand presence and existing aggregator relationships significantly reduced the time needed to set up operations in the city. He added that the partners aim to make Bhopal a benchmark model for future expansions.

Yulu also conducted training and onboarding programmes for Tezz Mobility’s operational teams ahead of the launch. Going forward, Tezz Mobility plans to scale the fleet to more than 1,000 EVs over the next two to three years while exploring expansion into other high-potential markets across north and west India.
