VinFast Signs Up 50+ Dealers to Launch E-Motorcycle Network in India

Vietnamese EV maker VinFast has signed Letters of Intent (LOIs) with more than 50 dealer partners to set up its first electric two-wheeler sales network in India. The dealers will open over 50 e-motorcycle showrooms in 34 cities across 15 states and territories.

The network will cover Delhi NCR, Rajasthan and Punjab in the north; Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh in central India; Maharashtra and Gujarat in the west; Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh in the south; and West Bengal and Odisha in the east. All are large two-wheeler markets with plenty of room for electric growth.

The agreements were signed at VinFast’s manufacturing complex in Hai Phong, Vietnam, during a visit by the Indian dealer partners. According to the company, seeing VinFast’s production scale and the popularity of its e-motorcycles in Vietnam made the dealers even keener to expand the brand in India.

“India stands out for its scale, its growing demand for electric mobility, and the opportunity it offers to redefine mobility,” said Ms. Vo Thi Cam Tu, Managing Director of VinFast E-Scooters Overseas Market. She described the LOI signing as a sign of VinFast’s long-term commitment to India.

Mr. Anurag Saxena, CEO, VinFast India E-Scooters, said the company is also building charging infrastructure and strengthening after-sales service to support customers in these locations.

VinFast entered India in 2025 with electric cars, covering distribution, manufacturing and assembly. The new dealer network marks its first dedicated push into electric two-wheelers in the country.

The opportunity is large. India is the world’s biggest two-wheeler market, with 21.41 million two-wheelers registered in FY2025-26, yet electric models made up only 6.54% of that total, according to VinFast.
