SUPRA SAEINDIA 2026 Rolls Out Structured Technical Programmes for Student Teams

SUPRA SAEINDIA, India’s Formula Student event, is organised by SAE INDIA, an affiliate of SAE International. Following the announcement of the main competition, the second phase of SUPRA SAEINDIA 2026 will focus on structured technical programmes aimed at strengthening team preparedness and ensuring alignment with Formula Student standards.

As part of this initiative, a series of Rulebook Workshops will be conducted in February 2026 to help participating teams gain a clear understanding of the Formula Student Rulebook, technical requirements and inspection expectations. These sessions will focus on rule interpretation, compliance strategy, documentation and technical inspection readiness.

Workshop schedule:

14 February – PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore
21 February – Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune
28 February – KIET University, Ghaziabad

The objective is straightforward – to ensure teams design and build their vehicles strictly in line with FSAE regulations, with clarity on safety, electrical, structural and technical requirements well ahead of the event.

In addition, an online technical training programme will be conducted in March 2026 by Ansys, a Synopsys company. This programme will enable teams to strengthen their simulation, validation and performance analysis capabilities using industry-grade engineering tools.

Further enriching the learning ecosystem, teams will also have the opportunity to interact with Formula E Team Race Directors from Envision Racing, gaining insights into international electric racing standards, operational structures and professional engineering practices.

With participation from 74 institutions across 15 states and engagement of over 2,500 students, SUPRA SAEINDIA 2026 continues to build a strong technical foundation for young engineers – going beyond competition to create a structured, regulation-driven and industry-connected learning platform.
