Kinetic Engineering accelerates EV push; Receives ARAI certification, prepares for first showroom launch

Kinetic Engineering Limited announced strong progress in its electric mobility business as part of its quarterly results, reaffirming its comeback strategy built around EVs and advanced component manufacturing. The company confirmed that its EV subsidiary, Kinetic Watts & Volts Ltd. (KWV), has received ARAI homologation certification for its electric scooter, the Kinetic DX, completing all required testing. KWV confirmed the inauguration of its first showroom on 16 October 2025, with deliveries scheduled to begin by the end of November.

In the short time since launch, the Kinetic DX has received overwhelming market interest. KWV has issued more than 50 Letters of Intent to dealer partners across major cities such as Pune, Mumbai, Surat, Indore, Delhi, Jaipur, Hyderabad, and Bhubaneswar, achieving its dealership expansion target ahead of schedule. All dealerships are expected to be operational by March 2026. KWV plans to deliver 5,000 units by the end of the fiscal year, targeting approximately ₹50 crore in revenue. The company has set a more ambitious goal for the next fiscal year: selling 60,000 units and generating ₹600 crore in revenue, along with expanding its dealership network to 200 locations by FY 2026–27.

Mr. Ajinkya Firodia, Vice Chairman, Kinetic India, said the response has far exceeded expectations. He noted that the Kinetic DX is emerging as the preferred everyday scooter for Indian families, supported by features such as Easy Key, Easy Charge, Easy Flip, segment-leading 37-litre storage, and a strong metal body. He emphasised that the market reception reflects continued trust in the Kinetic brand and confidence in its products.

Beyond EVs, Kinetic Engineering continues to reinforce its manufacturing operations. The company recently commissioned a fully robotic chassis production line and modernised its paint shop, along with new metal pressing capabilities. Kinetic Engineering is currently producing chassis for both the E-Luna and the Kinetic DX, strengthening backward integration with its EV push.

The company also confirmed that it is in advanced discussions with new and existing customers in the auto component space, which is expected to drive additional business. With improving financials, a fast-growing EV network, and strong demand outlook, Kinetic Engineering Limited believes it is positioned for sustained growth and long-term value creation for its stakeholders.
