JK Fenner Marks 70 Years of Innovation and Growth

JK Fenner (India) Ltd., part of the JK Organisation, celebrated its 70th anniversary today, marking seven decades of innovation, resilience, and growth. The event was graced by Mr.  Udhayanidhi Stalin, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, as Chief Guest, alongside Shri Vikrampati Singhania, Managing Director, JK Fenner, in the presence of customers, industry leaders and distinguished guests.

Headquartered in Chennai, JK Fenner operates nine modern manufacturing plants, including five in Tamil Nadu, with investments exceeding Rs. 7,000 crore and renewable energy assets of 9.75 MW. Its three RCD centres, supported by a 120-strong specialist team, cater to leading global OEMs such as John Deere, Timken, AutoZone, and Dana, along with major Indian automakers.

Congratulating the company, Mr. Stalin said, “With contributions from companies like JK Fenner, Tamil Nadu has built a strong industrial base. Today our state’s growth rate has soared to 11.19 percent. The company’s CSR programmes alone have touched more than 10 lakh lives, and the government will continue to support local companies in expanding their global reach.”

Dr. Raghupati Singhania, Chairman, JK Fenner, said, “This milestone is a legacy of resilience and excellence. From one facility in Madurai, we now operate nine state-of-the-art plants, and tomorrow we will proudly roll out our 75 millionth belt from our Automotive plant in Madurai, underscoring our leadership in power transmission solutions.”

Managing Director Vikrampati Singhania added, “This milestone belongs to our extended family of employees, partners, customers, and well-wishers. From humble beginnings, we have grown into a trusted partner across automotive, industrial, agriculture, railways, and defence sectors. Our focus now is on future mobility, sustainability, and global expansion through innovation and digitalisation.”

Founded in 1955 and integrated into JK Organisation in 1987, JK Fenner has grown from a V-belt maker into a diversified provider of belt systems, sealing systems and fluid transmission solutions across multiple sectors. The company derives about 70% of its energy from renewable sources and reuses 91% of its water, while its CSR initiatives span six states and 18 districts in Tamil Nadu, addressing health care, education, women’s empowerment, skill development, and environment conservation.
