Schaeffler India appoints Amit Bhalerao as COO

Schaeffler India has appointed Mr. Amit Bhalerao as Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective August 10, 2026.

Mr. Bhalerao will oversee the company’s manufacturing operations in India, with a focus on operational excellence, digital transformation, localisation and developing future-ready manufacturing capabilities.

He joins Schaeffler India with more than 23 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, lean transformation, quality and supply chain management. Before this, he was Managing Director and Vice President of Operations at Kelvion India. He has also held leadership roles at Cummins, Eaton and Sterlite Technologies.

As a member of Schaeffler India’s Executive Leadership Team, he will work on strengthening the company’s manufacturing competitiveness and supporting its long-term growth strategy.
