Mr. Niraj Rajmohan, CTO and Co-founder, Ultraviolette, said, “Chennai has long been recognised as one of India’s most important automotive hubs, with a strong legacy of engineering, manufacturing, and innovation, and is a strategically important market in India’s evolving mobility landscape. The launch of our new experience centre strengthens our ability to bring Ultraviolette’s technology, innovation, and engineering-led products closer to a growing community of riders and enthusiasts in the region. As we continue to advance our capabilities across battery technology, vehicle intelligence, radar-enabled safety systems and software-defined architectures, our focus remains on building globally competitive mobility solutions that are designed, engineered and built in India for the world.”

The Chennai expansion follows a series of recent milestones for Ultraviolette, including the rollout of its ‘Kill the Petrol Bill’ programme — which offers cashback of up to ₹30,000 to customers upgrading from a petrol two-wheeler to the F77 or X-47, based on kilometres ridden in the last two years. The company has also announced a collaboration with Bolt.Earth to expand its Type 6 fast-charging network across India, and introduced its Battery Flex — Battery as a Service — programme, collectively reinforcing Ultraviolette’s focus on building a comprehensive electric mobility ecosystem for Indian riders.
