ChargeZone joins hands with Fresh Bus to power India’s Intercity EV Bus Network

ChargeZone has announced a strategic partnership with Fresh Bus, one of the country’s leading intercity electric bus operators, to accelerate the development of a nationwide supercharging network for electric buses.

Under this partnership, ChargeZone will onboard all Electric Vehicle Charging Station (EVCS) assets from Fresh Bus, expanding its footprint across key southern cities such as Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Mysuru, Tirupati, Guntur, and Visakhapatnam. Fresh Bus plans to grow its fleet to over 5,000 electric buses in the next five years, and this collaboration will provide it with reliable, high-capacity charging support.

Mr. Kartikey Hariyani, Founder and CEO of ChargeZone, said, “This collaboration is a big step towards building India’s largest intercity supercharging network for electric buses. By adding strategically located charging stations and integrating renewable energy at key sites, we aim to make long-distance electric travel reliable, accessible, and sustainable.”

The integrated charging stations will prioritise Fresh Bus’s fleet while remaining open for other EV fleets in the future to ensure better utilisation. Sites in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, and Vijayawada will also use renewable energy, reinforcing ChargeZone®’s commitment to clean mobility.

Fresh Bus founder Mr. Sudhakar Reddy said, “Partnering with ChargeZone brings proven expertise in managing high-capacity networks. This will improve operational efficiency, ensure uninterrupted services, and support the wider EV ecosystem by creating charging hubs for other fleets too.”

This is one of ChargeZone’s largest collaborations to date and marks a major milestone in its mission to enable green intercity travel and deploy one million charging points across India. With over 13,500 charging points already installed at 1,200 locations, ChargeZone continues to build critical infrastructure to support India’s growing EV ecosystem.
