PMI Electro Mobility delivers 22 New Electric Buses to Rajkot

Enhancing the vision of promoting electric mobility in Gujarat, 22 new electric buses were flagged off in Rajkot. These buses, manufactured and operated by PMI Electro Mobility Solutions Pvt. Ltd., will significantly contribute to the city’s public transport system. The flag-off was done by Mr. Pradeep Dav, Ex. Mayor Rajkot, Mr. Jamin Thakar, Chairman- RMC (Rajkot Municipal Corporation), Mr. Mukesh Doshi-President BJP, ⁠Mr. Swapnil Khare, Deputy Municipal Commissioner, RMC amongst other dignitaries.

With this addition, Rajkot, smart city, will now boast a total of 109 air-conditioned electric buses. The new 33-seater electric buses feature semi-low floors, facilitating easy entry and exit for passengers with special needs, and ensuring a safe and comfortable journey for tourists and the general public. This initiative also plays a crucial role in reducing the city’s carbon footprint

The Gondal Charging Station is equipped with five 240kw GBT electric bus charging stations to ensure optimal uptime with 24×7 operations, maintenance, and service support.

As part of the zero-carbon public mobility initiative endeavour by the state, the newly launched electric buses are zero-emission vehicles (ZEV) and will reduce over 650 tons of CO2, over 1 year of operations. These buses are powered by fast-charging lithium-ion batteries and are equipped with all modern features like Real Time Passenger Information System (PIS), Panic Buttons for emergency stops, Vehicle Location & Tracking System, CCTV cameras, public address system, stop request buttons, Fire Detection & Alarm System to name a few. For drivers, the ergonomically designed dashboard provides an intuitive and user-friendly system that allows drivers to concentrate on driving without distractions which makes it a truly global product.

As PMI Electro Mobility partners with Gujarat’s initiative to embrace green and sustainable public mobility solutions, the organization commits its support to align the state with global efforts to combat climate change. The inauguration event was honoured by the presence of distinguished dignitaries, government officials, and senior company executives.
